A perfect fusion of practices to prepare us for winter: slowing down and moving inward. Slow Flow Yoga focuses on the magical rhythm of the breath, cultivating a harmonious synchronization of movement with the flow of breath. Moving through a creative sequence of asana (poses) we connect with the breath as the transforming element in the practice. The pace is slower and more contemplative. Each pose is held for several breaths, trusting to the body’s intuition to signal the need for transition to the next. The breath of yoga influences the slower flow, allowing for a deep connection to our inner world.From Slow Flow to Restorative we draw ever more deeply inward, taking the time to feel and observe, with Mindfulness, the transformation within. All Restorative poses are practiced on the floor, fully supported with cushions, blankets and bolsters. The key to full release of tension is surrender to the pose.
